I have Volume One dealing with the basics.
Anyways I am quite happy with it and I hope to use it to improve my skills and my drawings.
| Well..once again I have changed my description...it's kind of fun. Seriously though I went to college and got a degree in multimedia and graphic design but that applies mostly to web design and not illustration and such. So I am slowly teaching myself some techniques. It was not until I was within three months of completing my college courses when a representative from another business college told me that his college offered course for which I would be more interested in; this came about because we, as a class, were showing of our portfolios. Mine was none too impressive and it was clear what my real intentions were but what I had learned thus so far is quite valuable. Let's see..what else. Ah yes..some of my favorite subjects for drawing is, of course, dragons, monsters and whatever else tickles my fancy. As one might have guessed, I just adore dragons, always have ever since I was little; Japanese mythology and anime also intrigues me. At one point I used to do alot more drawing but something happened and I think it was a combination of frustration and a bout of deep depression that made me put away my tools for over seven years. So I am slowly getting back into it, the real challenge is inspiration and motivation so by being here I can be exposed to all sorts of talents. |

Imagination is my key to life...without it my world would die.
I guess I find Ryu's subtle personality interesting because under his calm shell I see sadness and loneliness.
As for Nina, she had spells which were more like setting glyphs on the ground or using spells like Flare, FireBlast, IceBlast..all very effective too.
I mentioned Fou-lu and Elyon because the two do look alot alike..same white hair, same cool expression but..I think I am going to have to find myself a copy of BoF4..it sounds like a lot of fun.
Actually I might have to get a GBA just to play the first two BoF games..gosh I miss them so much!
As for the new games..I felt the same way about some of the newer Final Fantasy games especially FFXIII.
At first I felt it was looking like a bit of Warcraft or some other game but now I find it quite a nice departure from some of the older games.

I don't remember many of the spells to be honest, it's been so long ago!
It was only a couple of years ago that I managed to get my hands on a copy of BoF IV (in mint condition for only 10 euro!) I was so happy. I love the unique artstyle found in it, but I don't think any of my characters are actually inspired by it ... I should try that one of these days I think! I actually find Ryu lacking in the game as far as character goes, but what's to be expected ... he's only a missing part of Fou-Lu after all. And I'm just a sap for Fou's background story and how he inspired <3 Hee ... I'm still a fangirl at heart.
But I really liked their step away from the medieval world ... the way I look at it, the world keeps developing and all BoF seem to be follow ups of previous games, some more direct than others (Blue, painting encountered in games and many other things). Fou-lu does return in BoF IV as a boss after all - well a character heavily based on him anyway.
While I wasn't too fond of the way humans looked in BoF V ( I adore the ones in IV again), I'd love to see another BoF created ... but I doubt that'll be the case after the disappointing sales of V. It may be for the better too, as I can't see the new games having the charm of the old ones.

Especially if I have just acquired some stuff, especially money and if I was smart I will have had a bank opened in the Fairy Colony so I don't lose it.
I do the same thing, I try not to use my D-Dive until certain battles. I did use it once fighting Tantra when he was fused with both Deegon and Geegagis. I wanted to snag the Skill Crimson Raid anyways so after it was stolen I went all dragon on him.
What really burned my burritos was when I was in Central and I got a bunch of un-appraised weapons but I couldn't go back downstairs to get them appraised and stored. I was really ticked off.
With BoF3..if I had been able to get past that stoopid mansion thing I would have been happy but in the beginning Ryu is just a little kid so he is uneffective in battle though with the "Observe" command he can learn a few things I guess.
It is funny that so many people seemed to hate BofV because it wasn't all medieval and all. I liked the more techy feel and I liked Ryu's Ranger appearance too. It really was a nice step out of the ordinary.
Though I do wish that there were better spells for Nina to use. I mean her attack magic is great especially Valhalla. I just wish she had a few restorative spells to use.
Anyways I noticed something interesting, when I first got the game many years ago, I noticed that on the very first game log I made, I ended up getting lots of good stuff right away.
The weapons shop in Lowsector had a few really good shields that are not often seen.
Of course out of frustration I sold the game and earlier this year I was lucky enough to find it in a pawn shop.
I never noticed that some of the characters that appear in BoFv also were in BoF3 like Lin, Scais and a reincarnated version of Fou-lu
Also Elatharion looks alot like Ryu's Dragonized form..of course I haven't played BoF4 so it was all new to me.
I would love it if a new BoF game was made and have Ryu look much like the BoFv one...he is my secret little imaginary friend.
